5-year guarantee on hand-knotted rugs

A hand-knotted rug is a special piece of craftsmanship. It is made with a great deal of time, experience and care, and with the right maintenance it can bring you enjoyment for many years. Because we are convinced of the quality of our hand-knotted rugs, we offer you a worldwide 5-year guarantee.

Our guarantee applies to new hand-knotted rugs and underlines our confidence in the materials, workmanship and traditional knotting craftsmanship. This gives you added peace of mind when purchasing a high-quality rug from Nain Trading.

What our guarantee covers

The guarantee covers the durability of the knots, fringes and pile under normal use in a private household. If a defect covered by the guarantee occurs within the guarantee period, we will carefully inspect the rug and agree the next steps with you.

Depending on the individual case, we will repair the rug free of charge or, in consultation with you, replace it with an equivalent rug.

Which rugs are covered by the guarantee?

The 5-year guarantee applies worldwide to new hand-knotted rugs from Nain Trading, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Excluded are vintage rugs, patchwork rugs, handwoven rugs and loom-knotted rugs.

What is not covered?

Damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper use or external influences is not covered by the guarantee. This includes in particular:

  • Stains, soiling or discolouration
  • Damage caused by moisture or incorrect storage
  • Damage caused by chemicals or unsuitable cleaning products
  • Damage caused by pets
  • Moth infestation or other pest damage
  • Damage caused by sharp objects, furniture or improper handling
  • Changes resulting from normal use and natural ageing

Statutory rights remain unaffected

This guarantee is a voluntary additional service provided by Nain Trading GmbH. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected and continue to apply independently of this guarantee.

How to make a warranty claim

If you believe you have a warranty claim, please contact us by email, telephone or via our contact form. To assess the claim, we require the rug’s invoice and, where possible, clear photos of the affected areas.

Care, Cleaning and Repair

Many hand-knotted rugs can be preserved for a long time through proper care, professional cleaning or careful repair. Even if it is not a warranty claim, we will be happy to advise you on which options are suitable for your rug.
